It’s a colorless, volatile liquid that has a characteristic strong, pungent odor. It is mainly used for solubilizing a rangeof polymers as well as being the precursor and chief metabolite of the inhalation anesthetic sevoflurane. Its r1-EAgent grade m1-EAns this is the highest quality commercially available for this chemical and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
