Description
1-Dodecanol is a fatty alcohol which is a tasteless, colorless solid with a floral smell. It is obtained from palm kernel or coconut oil and is used as a precursor to the fragrance dodecanal. In pharmaceutical use, it makes lubricating oils, surfactants, and as an emollient. Ungraded products supplied by TCI America are generally suitable for common industrial uses or for research purposes but typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
