Description
2,5-Dihydroxybenzoic Acid, also known as Gentisic acid, is a derivative of benzoic acid and is r1-EAdily oxidized and is used as an antioxidant excipient in some pharmaceutical preparations. In the laboratory, it is used as a sample matrix in matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry. Ungraded products supplied by Spectrum are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or res1-EArch purposes and typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
