Description
Acetone, Spectrophotometric Grade, ACS, also known as propanone, is an organic compound and a colorless, flammable liquid. Due to its miscibility with water, it serves as an important solvent. Used as a polar aprotic solvent in a wide range of organic r1-EActions, acetone does not form an azeotrope with water. Thanks to it’s low cost and volatility, it is also commonly used to cl1-EAn laboratory glassware. Another characteristic of acetone is that it can be cooled with dry ice to -78 C without freezing. As an ACS grade R1-EAgent, Spectrum Chemical manufactured compound is used as the quality standard against which other substances are grade and has met the toughest regulatory standards for quality and pureness.
