Description
Acetone, Technical is A colorless, flammable liquid. Due to it’s micsibilaty with water, it serves as an important solvent. Used as a polar aprotic solvent in a wide range of organic reactions, acetone does not form an azeotrope with water. Thanks to it’s low cost and volatility, it is also commonly used to clean laboratory glassware. Another characteristic of Acetone is that it can be cooled with dry ice to -78°C without freezing allowing this solvent to be used to conduct reactions at low temperature.
