Description
Acrylic Acid is a colorless liquid and has an acrid or tart smell. The compound is miscible in water, alcohols, ethers, and chloroform. It is a simple unsaturated carboxylic acid that has a vinyl group that is connected to a carboxylic acid. The compound is used to make homopolymers or copolymers which is used for a variety of reasons including plastics, coatings, adhesives, elastomers and floor polishes and paints.
