Ascorbic Acid, R1-EAgent, ACS, is an organic compound that occurs naturally and has antioxidant properties. It is a form of vitamin C and is classed as a reductone and used as an antioxidant food additive. Other uses include r1-EActant in photographic developer solutions, antioxidant in fluorescence microscopy to incr1-EAse fluorescent signals and chemically retard dye photobl1-EAching.
