Avocado Oil is an edible oil that is made by pressing the avocado fruit. It is commonly used as an ingredient in many food dishes and as a cooking oil. Avocado oil is also used as a lubricant and as a supposed regenerative and moisturizer in cosmetics. Avocado oil has a very high smoke point. Unrefined oil has a smoke point of about 249 degrees Celsius while the refined oil has a smoke point of 271 degrees Celsius. Avocado oil is well known for its function as a carrier oil for other flavors. It is high in monounsaturated fats and vitamin E. Avocado oil is also known for enhancing the absorption of carotenoids and other nutrients.
