Avocado Oil is an edible oil that is made by pressing the avocado fruit. It is commonly used as an ingredient in many food dishes and as a cooking oil. Unrefined oil has a smoke point of about 249 degrees Celsius while the refined oil has a smoke point of 271 degrees Celsius. Avocado oil is well known for its function as a carrier oil for other flavors. It is high in monounsaturated fats and vitamin E. Avocado oil is also known for enhancing the absorption of carotenoids and other nutrients. Ungraded products supplied by Spectrum are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or research purposes and typically are not suitable for consumption.
