Barium Acetate, Granular, R1-EAgent, ACS is a white powder and the salt of barium and acetic acid, often used as a mordant in printing textiles and fabrics, paint-drying and in oil lubricants. In a chemical lab, it is used in organic synthesis as a catalyst and to prepare other acetates.
