Biotin is part of the B-vitamin group, otherwise known as coenzyme R. Biotin is a coenzyme for carboxylase enzymes that are used to synthesize fatty acids, isoleucines and valin. Necessary for the growth of cells and fatty acids production. It’s also often recommended as a diet supplement for strengthening hair and nails. Biotin can be found in many cosmetics related to hair and skin care.
