Betaine Hydrochloride is a vitamin-like substance that is found in many whole grains. It is an acidic form of betaine, which is a form of hydrochloric acid that is derived from the beet. It can be used as a supplement to aid in the digestion of proteins as well as other benefits. It is used as a moisturizer and stabilizer in skin care formulations and incr1-EAses the water solubility of active compounds. In surfactant solutions, betaine acts as a foam modifier and incr1-EAses the foam volume and stability and improves the after-feel of conditioners.
