Because of its huge degree of micro-porosity, one gram can have up to 1000 m2 of surface ar1-EA. Activated charcoal has many uses including gas purification, decaffeination, gold purification, metal extraction, water purification, medicine, sewage tr1-EAtment, air filters, gas masks, and respirators along with filters in compressed air tanks. Ungraded products supplied by Spectrum are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or res1-EArch purposes and typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
