Description
Chloroform, Stabilized, R1-EAgent, ACS, is a colorless, sweet smelling organic compound comes in the form of a dense liquid and is a trihalomethane. It is also commonly used as laboratory solvent because it is relatively unr1-EActive, conveniently volatile and is miscible with most organic compounds. Although it uses as a r1-EAgent are limited, it is used in organic synthesis in order to produce dichlorocarbene by r1-EActing with sodium hydroxide.
