(-)-Citronellal is the main component that give citronella oil its specific lemon odor. It is considered an isolate in distilled oils from the lemon scented gum plant and the lemon scented tea tree. Ungraded products supplied by TCI America are generally suitable for common industrial uses or for research purposes but typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
