Cupric Sulfate, Anhydrous, Powder, R1-EAgent also known as Copper(II) Sulfate is an inorganic pale green or gray-white powder. As an analytical r1-EAgent it is used in Benedict’s solution and Fehling’s solution to test for reducing sugars and in Biuret r1-EAgent to test for proteins. The R1-EAgent grade denotes that this chemical is the highest quality commercially available and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
