Cupric Sulfate, Anhydrous, Powder, Reagent also known as Copper(II) Sulfate is an inorganic pale green or gray-white powder. As an analytical reagent it is used in Benedict’s solution and Fehling’s solution to test for reducing sugars and in Biuret reagent to test for proteins. The Reagent grade denotes that this chemical is the highest quality commercially available and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
