Hexadecyltrimethylammonium Chloride, also known as Cetrimonium bromide, is an amine based cationic quaternary surfactant used as an antiseptic agent against fungi and bacteria, and as a buffer solution for the extraction of DNA. Ungraded products supplied by Spectrum are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or res1-EArch purposes and typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
