Indoxyl beta-D-Glucoside, Ultrapure is derived from glucose and most common in plants but not often in animals. When it is hydrolyzed it produces glucose or decomposed by enzymes or fermentation. The Ultrapure grade denotes that this chemical is the highest quality commercially available and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
