Description
Lanthanum Chloride, Hydrated, Reagent, ACS, is used in biochemical research to block the activity of divalent cation channels, mainly calcium channels. Doped with cerium, it is used as a scintillator material and in organic synthesis, lanthanum trichloride functions as a mild Lewis acid for converting aldehydes to acetals. As an ACS grade quality reagent, its chemical specifications are the de facto standards for chemicals used in many high-purity applications and typically designate the highest quality chemical available for laboratory use. Spectrum Chemical manufactured Reagent ACS grade products meet the toughest regulatory standards for quality and purity.
