Maltose, Powder, R1-EAgent, is also referred to as maltbiose or malt sugar. Maltose is a disaccharide that occurs naturally in germinating seeds, when the seed br1-EAks down starch to use as nutrient. It can also be obtained from caramelizing glucose. It is often used as a sweetener and preservative as well being used in the production of beer. Its r1-EAgent grade m1-EAns this is the highest quality commercially available for this chemical and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
