Description
Methyl Alcohol, Purified is a colorless, flammable substance used in chemical labs as a polar protic solvent in organic synthesis, as well as a carrier (mobile phase) solvent in high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC). Methanol is the simplest type of alcohol and was, at one point, chiefly made from the distillation of wood, and is commonly referred to as wood alcohol, wood spirits or methyl alcohol.
