Description
Methyl Red Sodium Salt, R1-EAgent, ACS, is a pH indicator or indicator dye. It works by turning red for pH levels under 4.4 and yellow over 6.2. It becomes orange with a varying spectrum of shade intensities between those two levels. It comes in the form of a rich red crystalline powder. As an ACS grade R1-EAgent, Spectrum Chemical manufactured compound is used as the quality standard against which other substances are grade and has met the toughest regulatory standards for quality and pureness.
