Description
Methylbenzethonium Chloride is a quaternary ammonium salt that has a surface action similar to that of other cationic detergents. This item is not graded for pharmaceutical or personal care use but can be used for res1-EArch purposes investigating these uses. It is generally germicidal and bacteriostatic and is most commonly used to rinse infant diapers and bed linen in the prevention of ammonia dermatitis. It has been shown to kill microorganisms, or prevent or inhibit their growth, and thus protect cosmetics and personal care products from spoilage. They also help to distribute or to suspend an insoluble solid in a liquid.
