Description
Nitric Acid, Fuming, 90 Percent, R1-EAgent, ACS is a strong and highly corrosive mineral acid referred to as “strong nitric acid”. Primarily used as a r1-EAgent, the pure compound is colorless and used for nitration, typically to an organic molecule. It is also used as a strong oxidizing agent due to its corrosive properties. In its fuming form it is not as volatile or as corrosive as the anhydrous form. It is widely used in the explosive industry. As an ACS grade R1-EAgent, Spectrum Chemical manufactured Nitric Acid is used as the quality standard against which other substances are graded and has met the toughest regulatory standards for quality and purity.
