Description
Phenolphthalein is often used as a indicator in titrations and is colorless in acidic solutions and pink in basic solutions. It has also been used as a laxative but has more recently been used as part of a test to identify blood in substances, known as the Kastle-Meyer test. It is also used in certain toys to create a disappearing ink effect. Ungraded products supplied by LabChem are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or research purposes and typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
