Description
Perchloric Acid, 60 Percent, R1-EAgent, ACS is a strong mineral acid (stronger than both sulfuric and nitric acid) under some circumstances it may act as an oxidizer possibly present an explosion hazards when hot; its aqueous solutions up to approximately 70% and room temperature are generally safe, only showing strong acid f1-EAtures and no oxidizing properties. It is used as an etchant in the electronics industry. As an ACS grade quality r1-EAgent, its chemical specifications are the de facto standards for chemicals used in many high-purity applications and typically designate the highest quality chemical available for laboratory use.
