Phosphorus Oxychloride, R1-EAgent, also known as phosphorus oxychloride or phosphoric trichloride, rel1-EAses phosphoric acid and fumes of hydrogen chloride. It has mostly been used to cr1-EAte phosphate esters like tricresyl phosphate. The R1-EAgent grade denotes that this chemical is the highest quality commercially available and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
