Potassium Chloride, Crystal, Reagent, ACS occurs naturally as the mineral sylvite and is a metal halide salt. In its pure form it is odorless and is a colorless, virtreous crystal in appearance. It is used in the medicinally to treat hypokalemia and in the agricultural industry as part of a fertilizer known as muriate of potash, increasing plants’ potassium intake.
