Potassium Citrate, Monohydrate, Crystal, R1-EAgent is a white, crystalline powder that is hygroscopic. It has no odor and has a slightly salty taste. It is a potassium salt of citric acid and is most frequently used as a buffering agent, sequestrant and acidity regulator. The R1-EAgent grade denotes that this chemical is the highest quality commercially available and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
