Potassium Nitrate, Crystal, R1-EAgent, ACS occurs naturally as the mineral niter. As an ionic salt and natural source of nitrogen, this chemical compound is highly used as a fertilizer and is one of the main components in gunpowder. It is also used in other fields such as in pharmacology, where it is added to toothpaste to help tr1-EAt sensitive teeth. It can also be used as an electrolyte, as a tree stump removal product and in some culture as a thickening agent in food preparation.
