Description
Digestion unit consists of four individual ceramic heaters surrounded by a one inch thick insulation board. Each ceramic heater is molded for a precise fit up to 250 ml digestion tubes (order separately). Heater element is encapsulated in each heater module. An RTD platinum temperature sensor is encased in the ceramic and sends signals to the control unit. Ceramic heater assembly is housed in a chemically-etched aluminum casing. An automatic monitoring system has one external light that blinks red when digestor reaches preset temperature. Unit reaches 410°C in less than one hour. Digestor unit measures 9 x 11 1/4 x 6 7/8 in. (W x D x H).
Control unit includes power switch and solid-state stepless temperature control knob, which is factory calibrated from ambient to 450°C. Trice control maintains specified temperature to +/-0.5% over entire operating range. Unit measures 6 3/4 x 8 1/8 x 5 1/4 in. (W x D x H).
Aluminum alloy carrier rack has two plastic handles, two removable heat shields and has a capacity of four digestion tubes. Rack measures 6 1/4 x 6 1/4 x 6 1/2 in. (W x D x H). Includes a six foot cord and plug. 115V, 50/60Hz, 7 amps. Digestion tubes and fume removal system (sold separately) are required. Operation inside a fume hood is strongly recommended.
