Description : Mannose receptor (also known as CD206) is a highly glycosylated type I transmembrane protein that is mainly present on the surface of macrophages, dendritic cells and avascular endothelial cells. CD206 can mediate the internalization of soluble and granular carbohydrate structures, thereby participating in innate immunity. And CD206 binds sulfated and non-sulfated polysaccharide chains through macrophage-mediated endocytosis of glycoproteins. It also acts as a phagocytic receptor for bacteria, fungi and other pathogens or a receptor for dengue virus envelope protein E.
