S-Carboxymethyl-L-cysteine, also known as Rhinathiol or Humex, is a mucolytic that minimizes the viscosity of sputum so it can be used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder and bronchiectasis. Ungraded products supplied by Spectrum are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or research purposes and typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
