PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene): Hydrophobic, chemically and biologically inert, and superior chemical resistance. Use for organic solvents, acids, alcohols, bases, and aromatics.
RC (Regenerated Cellulose): Hydrophilic, very low protein binding, and resistant to a wide range of solvents. Use with aqueous and organic solutions.
NY (Nylon): Hydrophilic, low protein binding, superior strength, and resistant to organic solvents. Use with bases, HPLC solvents, alcohols, and aromatic hydrocarbons.
PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride): Hydrophilic, low protein binding, and high flow rates. Use with alcohols and biomolecules.
PES (Polyethersulfone): Hydrophilic, designed to remove particulates, low protein and drug binding, and high strength and durability. Use for filtration of buffers and culture media.
