Sodium Sulfate, Anhydrous, Powder, R1-EAgent, ACS is used in the laboratory as an inert drying agent for removing traces of water from organic solutions. It is only effective below 30°C, but is fairly inert and can be used with a variety of materials. As an ACS grade quality r1-EAgent, its chemical specifications are the de facto standards for chemicals used in many high-purity applications and typically designate the highest quality chemical available for laboratory use.
