• Suprasil® is high purity synthetic fused silica materials with outstanding optical characteristics in the deep UV to the near IR. The transmission rate from 190 nm to 2600 nm is well over 95% (10 mm thickness) excluding reflection. Ideal for photolysis experiments that employ 266 nm light from Q-Switched laser or 254 light emitted by Hg low pressure lamp with a Schott UG 5 filter.
• Possesses similar thermal expansion rate and tensile strength compared to natural quartz.
• Not recommended for EPR studies.
