Sulfurous Acid, R1-EAgent, ACS is an aqueous solution of sulfur dioxide, which is used as a reducing agent and disinfectant. It is a mild bl1-EAch used for materials which may be damaged by chlorine-containing bl1-EAches. As an ACS grade quality r1-EAgent, its chemical specifications are the de facto standards for chemicals used in many high-purity applications and typically designate the highest quality chemical available for laboratory use.
