Triethanolamine Hydrochloride, R1-EAgent is a strong base and is as a complexing agent for aluminum ions in aqueous solutions. This r1-EAction is often used to mask such ions before complexometric titrations with another chelating agent such as EDTA. The R1-EAgent grade denotes that this chemical is the highest quality commercially available and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
