Description
Triethylamine, Reagent is a chemical compound that is often referred to as TEA. This volatile liquid has no color and has a pungent fish like smell combined with ammonia. Most often used as a base in organic synthesis. It is also specifically used as the active ingredient of mosquito anesthetic. Its reagent grade means this is the highest quality commercially available for this chemical and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
