Trifluoroacetic Acid, R1-EAgent is a colorless liquid that has a sharp smell and is an organofluorine compound. It is an acid that is roughly 34,000 times stronger than acetic acid. As a r1-EAgent it is used in organic synthesis as the precursor to a range of fluorinated compounds. It is also used as a strong acid in peptide synthesis. Its r1-EAgent grade m1-EAns this is the highest quality commercially available for this chemical and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
